It’s GivingTuesday and all donations up to $32,500 will be DOUBLED! Click here to donate and DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT for Wilderness and its wildlife. GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. GivingTuesday also kicks off our most important fundraising period of the year, so we hope you will put a donation to Wilderness Watch at the top of your list. Members and supporters like YOU provide more than 90 percent of our funding, so please be as generous as you can! Because of your generosity, we’re saving secure habitat for wildlife and preventing the cruel killing of grizzly bears and wolves that call Wilderness home. During 2024, we initiated legal action to make sure no more grizzly bears are killed at black bear bait stations in Idaho, which will help grizzlies find a safer path to return to their homelands in the Wildernesses of central Idaho. We also filed a lawsuit challenging the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service over its failure to list western wolves under the Endangered Species Act. Also in 2024, we secured some great news for wolves, grizzly bears, and Wilderness when a federal district court ruled in our favor, and shut down the State of Idaho’s wolf trapping and snaring program through spring, summer, and fall in areas that grizzly bears call home. Additionally, we’re working to stop stream poisoning, tree cutting, and burning schemes that interfere with the wild and undermine the basic tenets of the Wilderness Act, while keeping bulldozers, helicopters, and other machines out of our precious Wilderness areas. While the Wilderness Act celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2024, it’s clear that both the Act and America’s National Wilderness Preservation System will face increased threats in 2025 due to the election results. We need YOU more than ever! Wilderness and its wildlife need YOU more than ever! Please be as generous as you can knowing that your GivingTuesday donation—and impact—will be DOUBLED. Thank you, George, Dana, Kevin, Dawn, Brett, Katie, Matthew, Dan, Nicole, and Mason |
