While the budget process in Washington D.C. remains fluid and fast-moving—and provisions impacting Wilderness and America’s public lands legacy are being added and removed from the House and Senate budget bills at breakneck speed—the most important thing is for you to continue raising your voice.
To date, various iterations of the Big Bad Budget Bill have included:
Urge your House rep to vote NO on any budget bill that includes provisions undermining Wilderness and public lands protections, including selling off any public land.

"As your constituent, I'm calling to urge you to vote NO on any budget bill that contains provisions threatening Wilderness and public lands. Specifically, I urge you to oppose provisions that mandate any sale of public lands, force oil and gas leasing in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Western Arctic, permit construction of the Ambler Mining Road through the Gates of the Arctic National Preserve, and gut the National Environmental Policy Act. Thank you.”
