Support 30 Years of Keeping Wilderness Wild during Missoula Gives!

Missoula Gives—on May 2 and 3—is a powerful giving event open to everyone. You can give to Wilderness Watch wherever you are! Support from people like you propels our important work forward.

The wild country in western Montana was our inspiration for starting Wilderness Watch, but our passion for Wilderness everywhere continues to drive our efforts. For three decades, Wilderness Watch has defended wilderness on the ground, in Congress, and in the courts—from the Everglades to the Arctic Refuge and many wild places in-between. We are the only national organization dedicated to keeping wilderness wild! How effective are we?

Here’s what a long-time member from Billings, Montana, said just this week:

"...I know Wilderness Watch does good and important work. But we did not know you were so effective in turning out comments. Your email to members on 4/23 generated more than 1,000 comments...in support of maximum wilderness designation on Custer Gallatin National Forest—in two days!...I estimate that 95 percent of the comments were Wilderness Watch inspired."

It’s no secret that the Trump Administration is taking a wrecking ball to everything wild, but with your help Wilderness Watch will continue standing in their way:

  • We stopped Interior's unprecedented attempt to build a road through the fabled Izembek Wilderness in Alaska.
  • We’re fighting to protect wolves and bears from Alaska’s plan to allow them to be ruthlessly slaughtered in our national wildlife refuges and national preserves.
  • We’re leading the charge to stop Idaho’s efforts to kill dozens of wolves in the River of No Return Wilderness.
  • We’re fighting to stop polluting mines from damaging the iconic Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota.
  • We’re spearheading opposition to bills in Congress that would effectively repeal the Wilderness Act across our entire 111 million-acre Wilderness system.

We rely almost entirely on people like you for support so we can provide the eternal citizen vigilance that protecting Wilderness requires. Please donate today and help us save the wild. A generous WW member is matching all first-time donations.
