Forest Planning: Protect the Greater Salmon-Selway-Bitterroot

The Forest Service is now taking public comments on the Forest Plan Revision for the Nez Perce and Clearwater National Forests. The new forest plan could drastically increase road building and logging, while stripping away protections for water quality, soils, old growth, riparian areas, and wildlife habitat. Roadless areas could also be developed, logged, and fragmented.

You have a rare opportunity to protect wild places and endangered species in the Greater Salmon-Selway-Bitterroot Ecosystem. Grizzly bears, bull trout, wolverine, Canada lynx and mountain goats depend on secure and connected habitat to survive.
